Paul Lord is a Research Director in Gartner Supply Chain Research. He has developed research content broadly on inventory management and advises companies across all industries on the topic. His research has ranged broadly into additional topics of interest to chemical companies and other process manufacturing industries ranging from supply planning and scheduling to bulk distribution logistics and order management. He monitors industry trends and advises companies on supply chain operating and investment strategy, and is among Gartner’s primary analysts in the development and maintenance of its demand driven value network (DDVN) framework and supply chain maturity assessment models.
Mr. Lord joined Gartner following the company's acquisition of AMR Research. He joined AMR Research after a 25-year career in the chemical industry, which included roles in R&D, operations planning, distribution management and product-line management. Mr. Lord holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University, a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University.
